HISTORY.
The Willie Mae Jackson Education Fund was founded in September 1984 and incorporated in March 1985. The Education Fund was named in honor of Mrs. Willie Mae Jackson. She was one of
Bethesda’s oldest living members. Mrs. Jackson received her B.S. Degree from Albany State College (University). She served more than forty dedicated years in the teaching profession enhancing the lives of many of Bethesda’s members. The Willie Mae Jackson Education Fund has its prime objective for: planning, promotion, coordination, and execution of programs that are aimed at responding to the
educational needs of the community. Since its inception in 1984, The Willie Mae Jackson Education Fund has given financial support to many of Bethesda’s members. We thank God for the success that we have had, and we thank each of you for your support in helping to make this possible.
